Philanthropy

​LILIT Group seeks to fund U.S. based direct, social service organizations that:

  • Prioritize harm reduction strategies that are often difficult to fund
  • Develop innovative new ways to meet basic needs (food, shelter, water, health care, education)
  • Create new Prevention, Intervention, and/or Outreach programs that are not yet considered evidence-based
  • LILIT Group grants are:

  • Awarded in amounts ranging from $500-$25,000
  • Issued for one year, but are renewable for up to three years, for programs that demonstrate success
  • Awarded on a quarterly basis
  • The typical grant life cycle is:

    1. Proposal
      • Annual Request for Proposals is issued January 1
    2. Review
      • LILIT staff reviews submissions and determines finalists
    3. First Recommendations
      • Finalist recommendations are presented to the Board of Directors
      • Three to five programs are selected by the board to receive grants.
    4. Mentor Matching
      • Grant Recipients are paired with LILIT Group mentors to refine and implement their projects
    5. One-Year implementation Period
      • We spend a year together, changing the world in new and creative ways
    6. Peer Review
      • Project outcomes are submitted for peer review by grant recipients in partnership with LILIT staff
    7. Renewal
      • Projects deemed successful in the peer review phase become eligible to renew their grants for up to three years.
